Planner II/III/Assistant Director - Park County, Wyoming

The Park County Planning and Zoning Department is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time Planner II or Planner III/Assistant Director for the Cody office (position will be based upon the experience and qualifications of a suitable candidate). The ideal candidate will have mid- to upper-level planning skills, including knowledge of planning concepts, state laws regarding planning and land use topics, exceptional writing and research abilities, and experience working with the public. Experience with small wastewater system design/permitting/inspection and/or geographic information systems (GIS) is preferred, but not required.  Some county travel and field work may be required to conduct site inspections. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required. 

Work Assignment: Planning and Zoning Department, 1501 Stampede Ave., Suite 1002 Sheridan Ave., Suite 109, Cody, Wyoming (temporary location; will return to 1002 Sheridan Ave. in mid-2024)

Compensation: Starting at $22.29 per hour for Planner II and $28.86 for Planner III (depending on qualifications & experience) + benefits; benefits include health insurance, a generous retirement plan (Wyoming Retirement System), paid holidays, paid vacation and sick leave.

Work hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a one-hour break, Monday through Friday.
